Cali Daycare

1: Formula
Cost: Varies between $25 - $30
What to do: Try hard to breast feed, until 6 mth at least. At 6 mth the baby will start having solids and then they don’t consume as much formula.

2: Diapers
Cost: Varies $13 - $25
Cheapest yet effective: Parents choice and Luvs
Expensive and best: Pampers
What to do: Buy cheap ones for day use and use expensive ones at night or when going out. You can also use cloth diapers.

3: Gear
Cost: $100 - $1000
What to do: You have to have a car seat or they won’t let you out of the hospital. Experience shows that the baby stays in a car seat rare facing until he/she is under one year and less then 20 pounds. Buy the one that is forward and backward facing and can be used until a baby weight reaches 40 pounds. The smaller ones are cute but not effective as you’ll have to buy a new car seat when the weight reaches 20 pounds. For my baby it was when he turned 8 months.
Other expenses will be Bassinet, Crib and stroller.

4: Clothes
Cost: Ahh this one I cant not answer fairly as I spend too much on clothes as they are all so adorable. Buy fewer clothes from 0-3, and more of 6-9.
What to do: Try stores like Carters, babies r us, Ross and Marshalls.

5: Toys ETC
Cost: $5 – $50
What to do: Hopefully you’ll get lots of toys as gifts. Don’t buy too many toys, buy more books as it’s never to early to read to babies.
